THE ‘BALL BURNISHING’ PROCESS
The principle of surface hardening using polishing balls is a tried and tested method. The balls compress and harden the metal surface without removing any metal.
This significantly extends the service life because a ‘closed’, dense surface is much more resistant to wear, scratches and corrosion
HOW IT WORKS
The items to be polished are placed in a mass of hardened and highly polished steel balls together with a soap solution acting as a lubricant. The items to be polished can be loaded and unloaded while the machine is running.
The polishing time depends on the surface condition of the items to be polished and on the hardness of the metal. The cutlery can be removed from the machine after the polishing process using a collecting basket. The compartment device is used to polish larger objects and is designed to prevent them from damaging each other during polishing (plates, lids, jugs, candlesticks, etc.).
